Importance Of Marks In Education

We live in a society where marks are more important than knowledge. This is very common thing. Besides people are measuring students’ ability by how is he/she has scored in specific exam.

Every parent has a dream that his son/daughter will become a success in life. He/She will have a good JOB.

Importance of Marks in Education

How To Get A Job?

From our childhood, we are most of the time focusing on how to get good marks. And these marks contains theoretical knowledge. No one will tell you why we are studying this. No one will give you the brief idea about the particular topic.

Let me tell you these all things are happening because we created it. If you want to take a good job which generally means a high salary then you must have to study in popular colleges. Now, what do I mean by popular colleges?

It means you have to score in your 12th board exam  and then have to pass in some competitive exams and then you will get an admission in  great colleges such as IIT ( Indian Institute Of Technology) and IIM(Indian Institute Of Management) Then you have to survive there for 4-5 years  and then you will be getting a job and will become successful in life.

Normal People Vs. Smart People

We all have heard the name “KOTA” where so-called intelligent students go for the preparation of JEE Mains and JEE Advance which is entrance exam of IIT. Parents send their son/ daughter. Only a few people can get admission in IIT.

On the other side of India, cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru are totally different. In these cities generally, students are attached with computer science. Students from such cities are just taking courses and getting very decent jobs. This is happening because they are focusing on specialized knowledge.

So there is a huge opportunity to become successful in life.

The ideal student would be one who was not working for grades but was working because he was interested in the work and not trying to compete with fellow students.

  1. Such a heart touching nd absolutely true. …. i also agree with u … that a person who get good marks are not perfect in each nd everything.. all hve their own skills smartness nd the way they work or achieve valuable. ….but the thing is our so called society. …..if cthey change their thinking. ….everybody choose ri8 in which they r master. ….. keep going my frnd u r doing gr8 👍

  2. You are absolutely correct to some extent. Our education system is more concerned about marks. But in IITs there are not people only from Kota. There are many students who have self studied to get into IIT. And you can only get into IIT if you are smart enough. No student get into IIT if they were only concerned about marks and they didn’t understand concepts behind the theory. I sware that no paper can determine the intelligence of the student but JEE Advanced is a good to get into IIT. You can always follow your passion after getting into IIT. As you are biased about computer engineering you won’t understand the importance of IIT for the other fields. You can get online courses & everything for computer engineering but there are not any availability for the other fields.
P.S. no one thinks about job in IIT. Everyone just wants to increase their knowledge in their respective fields.

  3. I fully agree with you , knowledge is more important but marks are also important If we ignoring marks then no one can much interested in theory and without study of theory we can’t get knowledge too much ✌
